Decades of Mistakes & Learnings, now in the open.
Over the last twenty years, I have kept notes and memories of what worked for me, what didn't, what education taught me, what leaders and people I worked with taught me, and what my entrepreneurial journey has taught me. Some are about things that worked. Many are about decisions I got wrong, people I misunderstood, assumptions that failed and lessons I only understood much later.
One day, I decided to stop keeping those journals and learnings to myself. I started turning them into structured articles about building a business, with a focus on people and purpose, brand, customers, execution, growth and the mistakes in between.
I have believed since childhood that knowledge grows when it is shared. If something I learnt helps even one person make a better decision, avoid a mistake I made or think differently about the business or the team they are building, putting these notes here would be worth it.

Building a Business
I am organising these journals into six connected journeys. People & Purpose is the first one I have completed. The others will open as I work through older notes and memories to turn them into structured articles.
People & Purpose
I have increasingly realised that people don't really work for companies. They work for their own dreams. The interesting question is whether a company can create a purpose big enough for those different dreams to move in the same direction.
